Anini Beach in Kauai Inspires

What a change from Vermont!  Just a day of traveling and I find myself swimming at Anini beach in Kauai with my sister while her kids play in the sand with my husband and son.   Imagine my surprise when a green sea turtle pops his or her head up a few feet away from my paddling.  As I followed the turtle, or perhaps (s)he was following me, I was taken by the link this creature has to prehistoric times.  I also started thinking about my next book, and wonder if perhaps I’ll pursue a story about sea turtle trafficking.
